Letter Play
A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android
This project was initiated by my 3-year-old telling me that an 'a' was not an 'a' because it had the curvy hood on top and didn't look like the a's he had learned. I remembered that my father wrote an alphabet animation for me on Commodore 64; a happy memory, so I was inspired to do likewise, and it grew from there.
Letter Play is a handful of simple activities centered around showing letters in upper- and lower-case using various fonts. The goal is to discover how they work by interactive exploration. If you see a scoreboard, you can win by discovering how to fill it.
